The Fondler
Henry loves his tummy button.
Ever since he had the dexterity he would unzip his PJs and fondle away. The more tired he is the more vigorously he plays with his umbilicus. It does seem to relax him and he often goes to sleep after rubbing it. He also needs a little tummy button time in the morning. He does it so much that the poor little stump is somewhat toughened and shows signs of lichenification.
I hope it goes back to normal once he gets through this phase. Hey, at least he doesn't suck his thumb :)
Hasidic Baby
Here's a picture of Ben at 5 months.
He turns his head to look at everything, but isn't sitting up yet. As a result, he has shortened hair in the back from the friction breaking the strands. He has longer ringlet curls in the front. Reminds me of a Hasidic Jew, minus the yamaka.
