There's a Little Cowboy in all of Us
The Daycare entered the parade this year. Toni came up with the theme and made all of the costumes. Where does she get her energy? They took first place in their category. WooHoo!!!Henry began to sob when we arrived, but when he saw his friend Brandon he cheered up. Actually, the two began to hug and cling to each other...Repeatedly. Sort of reminded a few of the parents of a certain movie :-).

One Tired Puppy
It always amazes me how quickly a kid's mood can change. Especially when they need a nap. These pictures were taken within minutes of eachother. He's kinda cute when he's sad. His sad face breaks my heart though.
Family Bedroom???
Yep. That's right. When Baby Ben moved into his crib, Henry wanted his bed moved into our room. We finally gave in so that Henry would stop asking to come into our bed. We really tried to make his bed a wonderful place. Henry's mama even made him some new bedding. Surf's up...even with matching surfboard buttons on his comforter :).
He's just so dang cute when he sleeps. :)
Nope. He never misses a meal.
Baby Ben loves dinnertime. In fact, he tries to help by putting his mouth nearly in the bowl. By the end, everyone involved is covered in food. Henry is so picky...this is definitely a new experience for us.

It's been a busy spring and summer. Several projects are getting finished. Mama's working more. Just getting caught up on the blog. Ben is growing up fast. He's already out of his Bumbo Seat. With those thighs we knew it wouldn't last long :). Henry is featured giving his "squiggle face" and picking his nose with the utmost efficiency. He loves cartoons and asks for "Mee House" (Mickey Mouse). All in all, things are well and these two boys get the biggest kick out of each other. So glad they are close.

The Fondler
Henry loves his tummy button.
Ever since he had the dexterity he would unzip his PJs and fondle away. The more tired he is the more vigorously he plays with his umbilicus. It does seem to relax him and he often goes to sleep after rubbing it. He also needs a little tummy button time in the morning. He does it so much that the poor little stump is somewhat toughened and shows signs of lichenification.
I hope it goes back to normal once he gets through this phase. Hey, at least he doesn't suck his thumb :)
Hasidic Baby
Here's a picture of Ben at 5 months.
He turns his head to look at everything, but isn't sitting up yet. As a result, he has shortened hair in the back from the friction breaking the strands. He has longer ringlet curls in the front. Reminds me of a Hasidic Jew, minus the yamaka.
